The results suggest that we all had a great day’s shooting last Wednesday.

The A.M. squad tested Ian Coley’s targets and returned some impressive scores, though the afternoon squad also had a good shoot despite the breezy conditions that made for an interesting shoot.

Jonathan Skelding, just back from holiday and using a proper gun, returned the top scratch score with 79 broken targets. Len was a close runner-up, just a single clay behind, with a back-in-form Steve Honner another single target back taking third place. Despite Coley’s reputation for providing some testing stands, the morning squad brought back some amazing Handicap results. Dave Gee returned to better than his best form by completely decimating his current average by a mighty 17 points. I cannot remember a better winning result ever being achieved.

Roy was runner up with another super score that beat his average by over 10 points. Jonathan took the Handicap bronze position a further 4 points behind. A great day’s shooting all round. As mentioned last week, Aziz is heading back home to warmer winter climes in the Persian Gulf this week. He’s enjoyed his shooting and is looking forward to returning for more fun next spring.
