A quiet day from my perspective, just one team to report.
Scores are from South Worcester, and scratch scores are topped, surprise, surprise, by Geoff Pomroy with an excellent 84 broken clays. Geoff is shooting so consistently well these days; I feel he needs just one extra little push up the scale and he’ll be competing amongst the best.
Runner-up was Steve Honner, who also shot well with a score of 79, which comfortably exceeded his average score. Third place was taken by John Griffirhs, whose mighty 28g was a whole 13 targets behind Steve’s Silver medal place. Thirteen targets or not, his score of 66 was over 8 points better than his average and gave John Griffiths the gold medal spot on the Handicap scale. Steve Honner was just a couple of points behind and narrowly took the Handicap silver spot from Geoff Pomroy who was a fraction of a point behind.
Your commentator is now enjoying his last week in Padstow and looking forward to rejoining the squad the first week in September.
