Scores for July 1st

First, can I offer my apologies to Alan Bayley for ‘hiding’ his score record on last week’s spreadsheet. God only knows how I managed it but then again, I suspect I’ve done much worse over the years.

Back to this week. Another warm and sunny day with some super scores from the morning squad. The afternoon squad may have recorded the top scores, but with only one exception, they were well below par. John Griffith’s mighty 28g was clearly suffering from ‘Bent Barrel’ syndrome as, at 43%, it returned John’s lowest score this year. Top scratch gun was Jonathan Skelding, who was back on top form again with an excellent 81 broken targets. His lowest score on any single stand was 7 out of 10. Well shot, Jonathan. Geoff Pomroy was the runner-up, just 4 hits behind.

Len Sandford filled the third place with 70 targets well bosted. Top Handicapper was Drew Beaumont, whose 65 kills was only one behind his year’s best score to date and over 12 points better than his average. Mark Reacord returned his best score this year and was handicap runner-up, less than 2 points behind Drew. Jonathan’s scratch Gold only won him Bronze on the handicap scale.
