Len Sandford was all at sea last week so was absent from the shoot.

Just like you guys, I suspect the wind and rain I was enjoying in Swansea was just as bad in Upton. The scores seemed to defy the elements as the handicap results indicated an enjoyable shoot. Top scratch gun was Geoff Pomroy with a fine score of 83, beating Jonathan Skelding by just 4 targets. A big gap to the Bronze position. John Griffiths hit 65 targets with his mighty 28g, however his score earned him the handicap Gold spot being almost 6 points clear of his average. Runner up, in a very close set of results, (he was just a fraction over 1 point behind), was Jonathan Skelding who beat Geoff’s hird place handicap score by just over half a point. Alan Bayley also shot well, missing out on third spoy by less than a tenth of a point.

Hopefully next weeks weather will be a little more settled. It will be my last shoot for a few weeks and I would love a pleasant memory to take down to Cornwall with me.
