A lovely afternoon for shooting after a wet and damp morning.

fter losing a bead sight off the front of my old Beretta, I had a quick session on the pattern plate to check out my new foresight. This demonstrated that the gun was shooting significantly higher than I thought. An enlightening exercise which produced an immediate improvement in my afternoon’s score. If you want to find out where your gun is actaully placing your shot, I thoroughly recommend a test firing at the aformentioned facility at S.W. (use a full or 3/4 choke to get a concentrated and meaningful pattern).

My improved score of 78 took the scratch top score with Simon Honeybourne in second place with 65 broken clays. John Griffiths, with 62, took the third spot. Mr Griffiths won the Handicap title with a score 3.3 better than his average. Len was runner up, just over half a point behind, with Simon taking fhe Handicap bronze medal position.

This is Katie Price. Don’t be like Katie.
