Another fine spring day, perfect for a shoot, (though almost too hot!). A super set of shootable targets were waiting which, judging by the early scores, did not suit everyone.

My old Beretta Auto is now enjoying a second life. Its been incapacitated in my gun safe with a siezed choke tube for many years. Since it’s repair 6 weeks ago, It has given me a steadily improving set of scores. This week, I anounced that we, (my gun and I) were looking to get an 80 score to continue our improving run. Jon Skelding, also armed with an in form auto, declared a similar target score and the challenge commenced. Len took the top scratch score with his 85 being his best score for a year. He beat Jonathan by a single target after both starting the last stand level. (Jonathan’s 84 was also his best score for over a year) Simon Honeybourne took the Bronze place with 70 hits being another best score of the year. The Handicap positions exactly replicated the scratch score lines. Len took top spot with Jonathan Skelding in second and Simon in third place.

A super day out all round and a very happy commentator looking forward to next week.
