Once again,a super day’s shooting with no sign of the promised rainfall during the afternoon.

A difficult course with a few targets certainly defeating me. (Rabbit on stand 6 and high looper on stand 5, and fast R to L crosser on stand 9) Only 2 shooters managed to beat their average score which confirmed the tricky layout last week.

Top scratch score was returned by Jonathan Skelding who had bought out his faithful old 12g auto and broke 72 clays, Howard Smith joined us for the first time in a while and put in a very competetive 69 to become runner up, just 3 targets behind Jonathan. Len was a further 4 targets behind in third place. The Handicap result produced a couple of real stars.

Despite the challenging targets, Roy Kitchen beat his average score by almost 8 clear points. That was an amazing score and easily earned him the top handicap position. John Griffiths, partnering his mighty little 28g, took the Handicap runner up position by beating his own average by another super 3.4 points. Jonathan Skelding filled in the handicap bronze position.

No more shooting at S.W. until New Years Eve so can I wish all our shooters, followers, and friends a very happy Christmas and a more successful New Year in 2026.
