A super day’s shooting. Cool but a fine day for it.

Ian Edwards joined Jonathan Skelding to create a .410 band of shooters this week.. After the previous problems that both popguns, oops, sorry, lightweights, had suffered, (Ian’s had needed a replacement pair of firing pins and springs, and Jonathan’s had needed a compatible cartridge that would cycle through it’s pump action). Both guns performed faultlessly and given their owners inexperience with such playthings, their scores were surprisingly similar. I’m sure both have a lot more to give.

Len and his newly promoted Semi-Auto Beretta took the scratch ttle with a super 79 broken targets. Ian’s .410 was runner up with 64 kills. Third place went to Jonathans .410, just another 2 targets behind. Lens 79, just over 3 points better than his average, scraped a tightly contested Handicap topspot from Roy Kitchen who missed topspot by just over half a point. Mark Reacord was a further half a point behind to take Handicap third place. Looking forward to another match between the newly re-juvenated.410s.
