A perfect day for enjoying a days shooting. Comfortably warm with little wind to liven up the targets. Your comentator managed to sneak in a couple of successful hours with his gun for a change.
It was not a high scoring day and Len’s 78 was sufficient to give him the Scratch Gold medal position this week. Runner up was Simon Honeyborne with 73 targets destroyed. A great score Simon. Jonathan Skelding took the third spot with 70 spectacular kills from his newly aquired full choke pump action musket. Simon’s score won him the Handicap top spot with a clear 6 point lead beating Len into Handicap second place. David Gee filled in the Handicap third spot.Good shooting David, Lets keep it up now. As an aside, and a possible explanation of some of the low scores, the afternoon squad shot 7 stands (not the towers, nor the rabbits) as simultaneous pairs. Very interesting and often, just a little frustrating.
