A quiet shoot by all accounts at S.W. by last week. A best score was recorded by scratch top gun David Salter who celebrated his return to Wednesday shooting with his best score yet this year, a cool 86 ex 100. Silver spot went to Geoff Pomroy with a healthy 82. I’ll decline from detailing the third place score of 80 as it was recorded by a consistantly high scoring club champion who could never have performed well amongst our disrespectful and noisy rabble so Tony Gray has been given the scratch third spot by default with 72 broken targets. Apologies to Tony Gray and Steve Honner who took scratch third place last week. I must have had a glass too many when I wrote the commentary.
Only a two horse race at Blackbrook but a good win by Nigel Jordan who’s 66% was his best score yet this year, He beat Dave Gee by a comfortable 5 targets. As an experiment, I’ve combined the Handicap results this week. Top gun was Dave Salter who beat his average by almost 8 targets. Nigel Jordan was just 2 points behind leaving Geoff Pomroy in third place a further 3 points behind. I’m hoping to get a round in on Wednesday. I have a walking problem which requires a steady supply of pain killers but they are doing the trick at the moment so am keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed.
Scores South Worcs.
