Another kind day for shooting at South Worcester. A couple of minutes of drizzle otherwise a fine but breezy day.

A low looper on stand 7 caught everyone out and spoilt some good scorecards. Despite missing 4 out of 5 on that stand, Len still retuned an excellent 87, his best score of the year so far, to take the top scratch spot. Tony Gray’s 74 was runner up with Simon Honeyborne in third place. The scratch 1, 2, 3, placing were totally replicated on the Handicap scale.

A strong squad at Blackbrook put in some great scores with Kit Taylor putting in a super 73% breakages to take top scratch spot. Runner up, Roy Kitchen’s 68% was his best this year, Well done Roy. Dave Gee put in another good score. His 64 was third best on the day and was only a point behind his best this year. It earned him the top handicap position and suggests that he may now be finding his old form at last. Handicap runner up, just over a point behind, was Roy Kitchen with Handicap third place going to Mark Reacord another point and a half behind Roy.

A good set of results all round,.and particularly pleasing to see Nigel Jordan out with his musket, enjoying himself again.
