A cold, damp and windy day last week that made some simple targets very lively indeed. Still some excellent handicap scores returned which indicates a general improvement in the overall scores, particularly amongst shooters who have previously struggled. Steve Honner took the Scratch Gold position with a rock solid 81 targets broken, easily beating Len Sandford’s runner up spot by 5 clear kills. Jonathan Skelding was third just a single target behind Lens score. Handicap winner was Roy Kitchen who beat his average by over 7 points. In the prvailing conditions, this was a super performance. Well done Roy. Jon Skelding was Handicap runner up with a score less than two targets behind, leaving Simon Honeyborne in third place with another mighty score 5 points better than his average. Overall, considering the wind effect on the targets, these were a remarkable set of figures. We seem to have a few potential rising stars amongst us. Keep it up.
