A tricky set of targets at S.W. with only 3 shooters beating their averages. Dave Salter topped the scratch score card with 77 broken clays beating Geoff Pomroy by 2 targets, Len Sandford took third place just one kill less. Simon Honeyborne was the Handicap winner by the proverbial mile. Before breaking a single clay he had advised his squad that an improvement was due and boy, didn’t he perform. He beat his average by over 11 points, beating Jonathan Skelding into handicap second place by over 7 targets and Len, in handicap third place, by over 8. Excellent shooting Simon, I wonder how you are going to follow that?
To accommodate 80 bird shooters, scores are percentages

David Gee took a small squad to a more local ground (for him) at Blackbrook shooting ground near Wishaw again last week. The scores indicate that their targets were no pushover either. Roy Kitchen was top gun with a 63% kill rate. Mark Reacord, who was on his first visit, broke 45%. David couldn’t quite match his previous score but still managed 44% kill rate. There are not enough scores to get a good set of handicap results from Blackbrook but Roy Kitchen clearly enjoyed himself by beating his initial score by ten clear points. Well shot Roy.

Scores are a percentage of the target kills.
Visited Shane’s shoot on Sunday. He has a great set up and despite my own trepidation, I managed his infamous hill easily by starting at the bottom and climbing back up one stand at a time. I thoroughly enjoyed the shoot but not my own score. They were super targets all round. Well done Shane and David.
