My prediction last week that spring had sprung proved to be a bit premature. It was bloody cold again last week at South Worcester.

Scores were not troubled though. All but one shooter exceeded their average score with the only laggard being forgiven as he was less than a single point off the mark. Dave Salter took scratch top marks with a superb 86 ex 100 broken clays. Super shooting Dave. Geoff Pomroy continued to improve and broke 82 of the 100 that he targeted to take the scratch runner up spot. Well done Geoff.

Tony Gray returned to form with a vengeance by putting in his best score yet this year. His 80 breaks gave him third place on the scratch scores list. The Handicap team of the week was John Griffiths and his mighty little 28g shotgun who between them, beat their handicap by almost 16 points. Great shooting John. Handicap runner up was Tony Gray, who beat his average by almost ten points. Impressive shooting Tony. Continuing his steady improvement, Simon Honeybourne now looks to be getting to grips with the grounds targets. His 64 was his best to date and beat his average by over 7 points to place him in third place on the handicap score sheet. Well shot Simon.

Some good reports again from Shane’s Forhill Farm shoot this last Sunday. He and Dave are putting on some super targets and the famous hill now has it’s own personal wheelbarrow I’m advised. I’ll be there a week next Sunday.
